We ship container homes to Florida. Units are built to order, delivered folded to reduce freight, and quoted per order because shipping and duties depend on the destination port.

Florida asks more of a building than almost any state. Heat, humidity, salt air, and hurricane season all test a structure. Steel and spray-foam handle that load well, which is why container homes have found a real market here.
We build in our factory and ship direct to Florida. You buy from the manufacturer, so there is no dealer markup between you and the build.
The climate drives every decision. Spray-foam insulation and double-glazed windows are standard on our units, and they matter most where summer runs from April to October. Good insulation keeps cooling costs down and stops condensation from forming on the walls, which is the enemy of any humid-climate home.
Steel does not rot, does not feed termites, and does not warp in humidity. That is a real advantage over timber in Florida, where moisture and pests are constant concerns.
Wind is the other factor. A welded steel shell is inherently strong, but anchoring matters. On coastal sites, the foundation and tie-downs should be specified for the local wind zone. We can talk through that with your installer before delivery.
The 10FT unit gives 160 square feet from quote on request. The 20FT gives 320 square feet from quote on request. The 40FT two-bedroom spans over 800 square feet from quote on request.
Payment is by bank transfer in full — we do not offer financing.er because of wind-rated anchoring and flood-zone rules.
Production takes 2 to 3 weeks, freight 25 to 45 days, and deployment 6 to 10 weeks. A simple inland site can land at the low end of every range. A coastal lot with elevation requirements sits at the top.
Start with the site. Flood zones, wind zones, and coastal setback rules vary a lot between counties, and they change the foundation spec. A simple site plan and a call to the local building department will tell you what applies to your lot.
If you are building inland, the process is usually quick and the costs sit at the low end. On the coast, expect more paperwork and a stronger foundation. Either way, the factory build itself does not change — only the ground work does.
Every unit arrives with the electrical and plumbing already run at the factory. That is a large part of the labor done once, indoors, by the same team that welds the shell. On site, the crew only has to connect to the mains, fit any final fixtures, and finish the interior.
Spray-foam insulation and double-glazed windows come as standard. In Florida those features cut cooling costs and stop condensation, which is the main cause of mold in humid-climate homes. Steel framing carries the load, so the interior walls do not have to, which allows larger openings and simpler finishes.
Florida’s rental market makes a container unit a practical second income. A 20FT or 40FT unit can serve as a guest house, an Airbnb, or a long-term rental on the same lot as your main home. The factory finish holds up to frequent turnover better than many budget builds, and the steel shell resists the humidity that shortens the life of timber structures.
Check local rules on short-term rentals before you count on that income. Some Florida cities limit rental nights or require a license. The rules matter more than the build type here.
Foundation prep takes one to three weeks on most sites, longer on the coast where wind-rated anchoring is required. Production runs two to three weeks. Freight to Florida adds roughly 25 to 45 days.
After delivery, placement takes a day or two, then connections and finish work take two to three weeks. Most buyers are in the unit within six to ten weeks of a ready foundation. Coastal permits can add time to the front end of the schedule.
Often yes, but it depends on the zone and the elevation rules. Many flood zones require the structure to sit above a base flood elevation, which means a taller foundation or pilings. Check your flood map and local code first.
Yes, and better than many builds. Steel does not absorb moisture, and the spray-foam insulation we fit as standard controls condensation. That combination holds up well in Florida’s climate.
From quote on request for the 10FT to quote on request for the 40FT two-bedroom. Add freight of quote on request to quote on request a foundation of quote on request to quote on request or more in coastal zones, and site work or permits.
Send us your location, the size you want, and how you will use the unit. We will confirm freight to Florida and put together a quote for a build suited to the local climate and code.
All units are quoted per order and delivered port-to-port (FOB). Tariffs, duties and shipping are extra.
