Two-Bedroom Container Home — Space for a Small Family

Quick answer

A two-bedroom container home gives two separate bedrooms plus an open living and kitchen area, usually in a larger expandable unit. It suits small families and longer-stay rentals. We supply expandable units delivered port-to-port, quoted per order.

The layout

Two bedrooms at one end or split either side of the living space, with an open kitchen and living area and a family bathroom. The aim is real separation between sleeping and living.

Sizes and families

A two-bedroom layout needs the larger expandable units to avoid cramped rooms. The extra floor area is what makes a family unit comfortable rather than tight.

Rentals and multi-use

Two bedrooms open the unit up to families and to guests who want a second room, which broadens who will book it and how long they stay.

Storage and services

A family unit needs storage and enough service capacity for more people: water, waste and power sized for the household, not a couple. Plan this with your installer.

Payment and ordering

Units are quoted per order and paid by bank transfer in full, delivered port-to-port (FOB). Send your size and nearest port for a quote.

Frequently asked questions

How is payment handled?

Payment is by bank transfer in full before production.

How are units delivered?

Units ship folded and are delivered port-to-port (FOB). You arrange local transport from the port to your site.

Can I order more than one unit?

Yes. Multi-unit orders ship together, which lowers the freight cost per unit.

Choosing the right size

Container units are built in fixed shell lengths, so the plan has to work within a length rather than being fitted to a wall. A 10FT shell suits a single-use pod: a studio, an office, a bathroom block, or a storage and utility room. A 20FT shell is the smallest length that gives a genuinely usable one-bedroom or studio layout once a bathroom and kitchen run are subtracted from the floor. A 30FT length is where two bedrooms become realistic. A 40FT shell is the length most families settle on, because it allows two proper bedrooms, a living area and a kitchen with real work surface without squeezing circulation.

Measure the internal width after lining and insulation, not the nominal container width. The usable internal dimension is what your furniture, appliances and doorway widths have to fit, and on a narrow unit the difference between a 600mm and a 500mm appliance run is the difference between a workable kitchen and a corridor.

If your requirement sits between two lengths, the honest advice is to go up rather than to try to compress a plan. Storage and circulation are the first things lost when a layout is squeezed, and they are the things occupants notice every day.

Getting a real number

Send your destination postal code and the model you are considering, and we take that to a customs broker and return an all-in delivered figure — unit, ocean freight, duty and brokerage — usually within one business day. There is no online checkout and no obligation: the quote opens the conversation rather than closing it.

Payment is by bank transfer in full before production, and units are delivered port-to-port (FOB); you arrange local transport from the arrival port to your site. We work factory-direct with a single vetted manufacturer, so the price you see is the same price a retailer would pay, with no distributor margin layered on top.
