Three-Bedroom Container Home — Family-Sized Modular Living

Quick answer

A three-bedroom container home uses the largest expandable units, often as a double-storey design, to give three bedrooms plus a family living and kitchen area. It suits larger families and long-term living. We supply expandable units and villas, delivered port-to-port, quoted per order.

How three bedrooms fit

Three bedrooms need either the largest single-level expandable units or a double-storey design, which gives the bedrooms on one floor and living space on the other. The double-storey layout is the more comfortable option where land is tight.

Double-storey villas

A double-storey unit gives a family a proper house layout: bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs, kitchen and living below. It also uses a smaller footprint, which matters on a constrained plot.

Services for a full household

A three-bedroom home has the service demands of a house: water, waste and power sized for a family. Plan the connections with your installer from the start.

Long-term living

At this size the unit is a home rather than a cabin, so insulation, ventilation and climate control matter as much as in any house. Specify for your climate.

Payment and ordering

Units are quoted per order and paid by bank transfer in full, delivered port-to-port (FOB). Send your size and nearest port for a quote.

Choosing the right size

Container units are built in fixed shell lengths, so the plan has to work within a length rather than being fitted to a wall. A 10FT shell suits a single-use pod: a studio, an office, a bathroom block, or a storage and utility room. A 20FT shell is the smallest length that gives a genuinely usable one-bedroom or studio layout once a bathroom and kitchen run are subtracted from the floor. A 30FT length is where two bedrooms become realistic. A 40FT shell is the length most families settle on, because it allows two proper bedrooms, a living area and a kitchen with real work surface without squeezing circulation.

Measure the internal width after lining and insulation, not the nominal container width. The usable internal dimension is what your furniture, appliances and doorway widths have to fit, and on a narrow unit the difference between a 600mm and a 500mm appliance run is the difference between a workable kitchen and a corridor.

If your requirement sits between two lengths, the honest advice is to go up rather than to try to compress a plan. Storage and circulation are the first things lost when a layout is squeezed, and they are the things occupants notice every day.

Getting a real number

Send your destination postal code and the model you are considering, and we take that to a customs broker and return an all-in delivered figure — unit, ocean freight, duty and brokerage — usually within one business day. There is no online checkout and no obligation: the quote opens the conversation rather than closing it.

Payment is by bank transfer in full before production, and units are delivered port-to-port (FOB); you arrange local transport from the arrival port to your site. We work factory-direct with a single vetted manufacturer, so the price you see is the same price a retailer would pay, with no distributor margin layered on top.
