Quick answer
Importing a container home runs through four stages: build to order, sea freight to your port (FOB), customs clearance with applicable duties, and local delivery and connection. Understanding the terms and the local rules before you order keeps the landed cost predictable.
- Four stages: build, freight, customs, local delivery
- FOB means the sea leg is on us, the last mile on you
- Duties and clearance are set by your country

Stage 1: build to order
Your unit is produced to your specification once the order is confirmed and paid by bank transfer in full. Lead time is confirmed at order.
Stage 2: sea freight (FOB)
The unit ships folded to your named seaport. Under FOB terms the sea freight and delivery to the port are on us; the port-to-site leg is yours. Shipping folded keeps the freight lower.
Stage 3: customs
At your end, the unit is imported. Tariffs, duties and any local taxes are payable on your side and vary by country, which is why there is no single published price. A customs broker makes this straightforward.
Stage 4: local delivery and setup
From the port you arrange transport, foundations or pads, and the water, power and drainage connections. Plan this while the unit is in transit so it can be placed without delay.
What you need before ordering
Your nearest seaport, a rough plan for the site and services, and an understanding of how your country classifies a prefabricated building for import. With those, the landed cost is predictable.
Payment and ordering
Units are quoted per order and paid by bank transfer in full. Send your size, quantity and nearest port for a quote.
