Buy a Container Home From the Manufacturer — From on request
Buy a Container Home Direct From the Manufacturer
Most container home listings you see online aren’t built by the company selling them. They’re resellers. Someone buys the box, farms out the fit-out, marks it up, and passes it to you. By the time it lands, you’re paying two or three layers of profit on the same steel.
We build ours. That’s the whole difference, and it’s the reason our prices land where they do.
What buying direct actually changes
When you buy from a manufacturer, the middleman’s margin comes off the table. On a on request build that’s often on request to on request you never see vanish. It shows up either as a lower price or as better materials for the same money. Usually both.
It also means your questions go to the people welding the frame, not a call center reading a spec sheet. Ask whether the corners are reinforced for stacking. Ask what gauge the wall studs are. Ask how the vapor barrier is laid. A reseller guesses. We know, because we did it.
Why “factory-direct” isn’t just a slogan for us
We run the shop. The cutting, framing, insulation, wiring, and plumbing all happen under one roof before the home ships. Nothing gets subcontracted to a third party who might do it differently than promised.
That control is why we can quote firm numbers instead of “contact us for pricing.” It’s why the on request 10FT, the on request 20FT, and the on request 40FT are real, not teaser pricing with a dozen add-ons hidden behind it.
What you get at each price
- 10FT studio — on request. 160 square feet. Great for an office, a guest room, or a foothold on your land.
- 20FT — on request. 320 square feet. A real one-bedroom with full bathroom and kitchen.
- 40FT — on request. 800+ square feet. Two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and room to spread out.
The expandable versions ship folded to standard container width, then open on site to roughly double the floor area. Same factory, same crew, more space for the money.
How the process runs
You tell us the size and what you want it for. We send a fixed quote — home, freight to your nearest port, and a delivery window. You confirm. We build. Production runs two to three weeks, ocean freight another 25 to 45 days depending on where you are, then it’s on your land.
You’re dealing with the builder the entire time. One point of contact, no runaround.
The questions a reseller can’t answer
- Can I change the window layout? Yes, and we’ll show you what it does to the price.
- What’s the wall construction? Steel frame, spray foam insulation, finished interior.
- Can it go off-grid? Absolutely. Solar, battery, and water tank options are all available at build time.
- Who do I call if something’s off? Us. The plant that built it.
That last one matters more than people expect. When something needs a part or a warranty claim, a reseller has to chase the factory too. You’re already talking to the factory.
Coast to coast, and beyond
We ship nationwide across the US and to major ports worldwide. Freight typically runs on request to on request to a US port, plus a short local haul. We’ll give you the real number for your zip, not a range that changes at invoice.
Get a factory price today
Send us your size and location. You’ll get a written quote from the manufacturer, with the specs your inspector wants to see. No dealership, no markup, no mystery.
Frequently asked questions
Is buying a container home direct from the manufacturer cheaper?
Yes. Cutting out the reseller removes one or two layers of markup, which often saves several thousand dollars on the same build.
How do I know I am buying from the real manufacturer?
Ask who builds the unit and where the shop is. A true manufacturer can answer construction questions directly and quote firm prices rather than sending you to a third party.
What does a factory-direct container home cost?
Ours start at on request for a 10FT studio, on request for a 20FT one-bedroom, and on request for a 40FT two-bedroom.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, to every US state and to major ports worldwide. Freight is usually on request to on request to a US port.
Can I customize the layout when buying direct?
Yes. Because we build it ourselves, window placement, interior finishes, and off-grid options can all be adjusted before production starts.
