Buying a single container home is easy. Buying ten of them for a business is a different job. If you run a cottage industry, a construction site, a glamping or Airbnb operation, or you want to resell, you don’t want one unit — you want a program. This guide walks through how multi-unit container home buying actually works, what changes at volume, and how to order direct instead of going through a middleman.
Why businesses buy container homes in multiples
Container homes are built from standard steel containers, shipped flat or modular, and finished on site. That makes them unusually well suited to volume orders. A few of the buyers who order more than one unit:
- Cottage-industry operators — a workshop, storage, or staff accommodation on land you already own.
- Construction sites — site offices, tool storage, and temporary worker housing that can be stacked and relocated.
- Glamping, Airbnb, and resort hosts — repeatable units that give guests a consistent experience.
- Dealers, distributors, and resellers — buy direct and resell into your own market.
What changes when you buy at volume
Three things change once you move from one unit to several:
- Per-unit pricing. Unit pricing is negotiated per order, not posted as a flat number. Tell us your quantity and configuration and we quote the order.
- Shipping is planned, not ad hoc. Multiple units are quoted as a shipment. Pricing is port-to-port, so you see exactly what the freight covers before you commit.
- Consistency matters. Volume buyers need units that match — same layout, same finish, same dimensions. This is where buying direct from the manufacturer beats assembling units from different sellers.
Standard sizes and what they suit
Our range covers the sizes most business orders are built from:
- 10FT Expandable — smallest footprint; staff pods, offices, kiosks.
- 20FT Expandable and Premium — the workhorse size; one- and two-bedroom layouts.
- 40FT Premium and Deluxe — full family or staff housing; the largest single units.
- Double-Story Villa — for when land is tight and you build up instead of out.
How to order direct from the manufacturer
Buying direct keeps you out of the reseller markup and gives you one point of contact for the whole order. The process is straightforward:
- Tell us your quantity and use. How many units, what they’re for, and where they’re going.
- Get a written quote. Per-unit pricing, configuration, and port-to-port shipping for the whole order.
- Confirm and pay. Payment is by bank transfer in full. We do not offer financing.
- Manufacture and ship. Units ship from the factory to your port; you arrange onward transport from there.
Delivering the units: port-to-port, in plain terms
We quote and ship port-to-port (FOB). That means your price covers the units and getting them to the destination port — you take it from the port onward, either with your own transport or one we can point you to. Shipping is almost always cheaper per unit when units go together, which is another reason volume orders win.
Documents and setup your order needs
Multi-unit orders usually need the same basic groundwork as a single one, just planned once: site access for delivery, a base or foundation plan for each unit, and any local permits your area requires. Foundations are the buyer’s responsibility and vary by site, so budget for them separately from the units.
